What Sets Alicia J. Downs Apart
When it comes to personal issues that are also legal issues, I understand how your whole life can be affected. Having someone who will work closely with you, explain the process and the pros and cons of different choices can greatly affect your experience and the outcome. I am a certified family law mediator (divorce, financial and child-related mediation). To learn more about my education, affiliations and pro bono work, please click the link below:
An Attorney With Local Roots
Part of understanding the legal process is to also have a profound sense of the community. I was born and raised in Illinois. I attained my Bachelor of Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University and my Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law. I first practiced law in Chicago following graduation. I’ve handled cases in both state and federal court. My husband, three children and I live in Edwardsville. I spend much of my free time attending my children’s sporting events. You will find me at the baseball and soccer fields, or watching a basketball game or track meet. We are members of the Troy United Methodist Church. I am licensed to practice in both Illinois and Missouri.
My Goal For You
One of the goals at my law firm is to provide high-quality representation for you, my neighbors. Every case is unique, so I give you the personal attention necessary to bring about the best possible outcome. For me, it goes beyond professional and ethical obligations; it’s a personal responsibility to you and our community.
Whether I am helping you create a will or trust, navigate probate or estate administration, or work out a divorce or parenting plan, I devote my focus and energy to achieving your goals.
